Meetings this week (9/25 – 10/1)

photo of a calendar with a date circledThe Tongass Democrats have one committee meeting next Sunday, and the City and Borough of Juneau has two meetings this week.

Reminder: CBJ elections will take place on October 3. Early voting starts September 18. Three Assembly seats, two School Board seats, and 2 propositions (Prop. 1: 1% sales tax, Prop. 2: related to competitive bidding) are on the Sample Ballot. Additional election resources are available on the front page of TongassDemocrats.com.

Also, the Juneau Votes! is hosting candidate forums tonight (Sept. 25).

Tongass Democrats Meetings
The Website Committee will be meeting on Sunday, October 1. If you are interested in joining the committee, which plans and develops content for TongassDemocrats.com, please contact Mary.

Juneau Votes! Candidate Forums
As a reminder, municipal ballots do not feature candidate party affiliation. If you want to find out about a candidate’s values and plans, Juneau Votes! is having two forums tonight that you can attend at the KTOO building or listen to on KTOO at 104.3 FM. They will also be streamed on Facebook Live.

City & Borough of Juneau Assembly and Committee Meetings
Here is a link to the official CBJ Assembly calendar. Please be aware that the City looks like it’s in the process of updating their website, so the links might change.

Assembly Chambers are located at 155 S. Seward Street. The City and Borough of Juneau maintains an Agendas and Minutes page; if an agenda is available at publication time, a link is included. When you click on an agenda link, it should open up a new internet browser page or tab, depending on your computer settings.
